Previously if you would notice, on BloggingeHow's fan page, I had setup a tab that said "1000$ a Month". This was supposed to be the landing page which I setup as Facebook tab.
So each time when a fan clicked that tab, he was taken to a landing page with in Facebook.
Why you need to redirect the fan instead of creating landing page with in Facebook?
1- That won't really matter until you the visitor to better engage with your blog or squeeze page. I realized that our squeeze on the blog would open more opportunities to convert the visitor instead of letting him stay with in Facebook environment.
2- There are tons of distractions on Facebook and the conversions could be fairly less on Facebook instead of a stand alone squeeze page.
How To Redirect Facebook Fan Page Tab To Your Blog In 5 Quick Clicks?
We'll be using a third party tool for this called 'woobox' which is fairly popular for Facebook tabs. Previously I used another third party tool, but after getting my hands on this one, I can't get over how easy it is with woobox to setup a redirection tab or other sort of custom tabs.
These folks have made it just too simple.
Step #1 Go to Woobox.com (don't worry page will open in new tab.)
Step #2 Click 'Get Started for Free' on the top right
Step #3 Click "Create new tab" at top right corner.
Step #4 Click "HTML fan gate" option from drop down.
Step #5 Click "Redirect". Now this is where you'll be adding your landing page URL (in BloggingeHow's case, I added the squeeze page's URL, that is the download page for the eBook "6 Month to a 1000$ Blog.")
There are 3 things we'll setup here:
1- Your Tab Redirect URL towards your blog
2- Tab Name.
3- Tab Thumbnail image (which needs to be 111x74 px)
The more clear the call to action would be in the Thumbnail, the more clicks you'll be getting on your tab and thus the more traffic towards your blog. So invest some time creating a great looking Thumbnail.
You can add mouse click arts on it too as I did with BloggingeHow, which motivates the user to click.

Finally once you've uploaded the thumbnail and choose your Facebook tab title, hit 'save settings'. That's all! Your new tab is already live with everything setup for you!
How to Adjust / Drag Position Of Facebook Tabs?
You just need to review it's position in Facebook which can be done as below.
Once you hit 'manage tabs' you'll be displayed a popup where you can drag the tabs to adjust their placement on the Facebook fan page.

Once you're in 'static tab menu option' in your woobox dashboard, you can hit the stat button right on a specific tab you want to track as shown in the picture below.

Well Well Well, it all changes right from here! If you already downloaded my free eBook in the past, you would know how BloggingeHow's 'thank you page' or 'downloadebook' page transformed with the passage of time.
Today, that page got an overall in terms of how I'll be able to serve my subscribers with what exactly they need. Read on if this is all confusing to you...
When you sign up for BloggingeHow's free eBook guide "6 Months to a 1000$ Blog", via any of the subscription boxes on the blog, you're then redirected to the back-end of the blog, which was previously just a simple 'thank you' page when I started with AWeber about an year ago I believe.
If you don't know what AWeber is, it's an email marketing tool that I use for keeping in touch with my email subscribers. You can learn more about it in the post 6 Reasons to Get Started With Aweber - You'd Be Foolish Otherwise.
How BloggingeHow's Email Subscription Funnel Looked Like...?
In fact, in the past, I made use of the 2 step optin, where the subscriber would first click the confirmation link after he subscribed to the blog, and would then get redirected to the 'Thank You' page which simply stated few lines, that I really appreciated them for being part of BloggingeHow family and there was a simple call to action right after that to check out few other popular blog posts.
Also, mean while, subscriber would get his eBook download link via another email with in few seconds.
How Thank-You Page Transformed Into a Standalone 'Download eBook' Page...?
Than I took a step further to take a decision to opt out of 'confirmation' procedure and provide eBook directly for download right after the visitor transforms into a subscriber.
Why I did that? I'll keep that for another post. There are mixed views on it online though and the end of the day, no body knows your audience better than you your self.
I decided that most of my subscribers were the one who actually wanted the eBook and were not spam bots or people not interested in what I had to offer in general.
They were mostly readers of the blog that turned into subscribers.
Which was Good! And exactly what I wanted. So it was the day to call off email confirmation mid process.
So that's where the 'Download' page was born.
It looked something that this.
The purpose of the page was clear and it was working pretty fine for what it was meant to be. Though, very soon I realized there was far more that could have been done with a subscriber that is already in mood to get more content from you.
It was the time to Re-Design the 'Download page' so to get more of the subscriber right after he lands. Naturally, when you offer a call to action right after he lands on the download page, he would leave the eBook reading for the future.
Which is all good, and this is the time we want to utilize their attention.
Talking the Download Page a Step Further - Redesign from Ground up!
Taking inspiration from Derek Halpern from socialtriggers, I realized the Download page should have been far more than what I made it to be.
I soon made the right adjustments and inserted my personnel picture above the fold to better engage the subscriber and to give them a more personnel touch to the blog.
Below are the 3 things I added:
- 1- My Picture
- 2- Social plugins to give more exposure as a CTA (Call to action)
- 3- Inserted Facebook comments plugin
These were the ONLY changes I made, and bet me not, It made a HUUUGE difference. I realized people started to leave comments and thus creating the 'viral factor' to drive in even more traffic to the squeeze page for the free ebook.
It was epic and I got relaxed for quite a while after that, knowing that the page was doing perfect.
What Next? I should have asked my self. As they say, never stay convinced with your progress...
Notice how I mentioned and reminded the subscriber to 'white' list my emails so that they never get placed in the junk/spam folders. This is really important as all of your efforts could go in vain if the subscriber can't even reach out to the emails you would send them in the future.
The Final Show Down! Download Page Transforming To a Members / Training Section
Finally, there were a lot of more improvements that I recently made on the download page (the user gets redirected to it once they download the eBook) and generally brought every thing together as it was supposed to be.
I'm sure there will be coming many more versions of this page and it's in fact a never ending path. Each iteration would be aimed to be more optimized for the results.
Here is what the additional addons in the final version:
1- A Welcome Video (Where I take on my Camera and Talk About How I got started and gives out a brief Introduction of BloggingeHow in general)
This was long pending on my to-do list and a video right after the subscriber lands is the perfect way to make a strong bond and leave an ever lasting impression.
2- A Better and Clear Call to Action
Now the page is uncluttered before and provides minimal call to action which is required to make the subscribe act for more. Now I ask the subscribers to leave out a comment and share what they are upto and stand at current point.
This helps me better engage with them. The more the comments, the more viral traffic it would generate. Remember?
3- A Free Training Section! Horaaay!
This is still in infancy and I would keep improving and adding more free videos to it so that it would give a clear heads up and training right on the download page.
The idea is to have a 'free training' section where all the 'right info' that the subscriber would want lies there.
I recently did a survey with my email list and founded out exactly what they wanted me to share. This training section is to serve them better.
4- A Mobile Friend Layout - Fully Responsive
Now the Training / Thank you / download page (All in one solution) is fully responsive and would cater the mobile user so much better than before.
This makes sure that I leave no visitors on table to turn into loyal fans. yay!

Not to demoralize any of the aspiring students out there, as the world is full of opportunities for the ones who work hard and are serious and clear about their aims and objectives that they need to achieve in their lives.
Though we generally know what our countries are going through and how small scale our Industries are to coop with the students graduating every single year.
There is just no ratio what so ever and in the next 5 years, considering we'll still have the retarded self centric leaders as of now, trust me there won't be many soft cushions around for the students.
Such a scenario brings me to write these few words for my fellow brothers and sisters that wish to not to go after a usual 9-5 under paid Jobs that doesn't promise to full fill the dreams you had as a child.
Understanding how wrong we are programed
In subcontinent, imagine how early in your life you start hearing from your elders as to what you wish to become in the future. You're often brainstormed to be an engineer, doctor and now days you tend to get more artistic professions.
They are great. BUT this entire career thing needs to be changed for the young kid whos been programed all these years to 'work for 9-5 for somebody else to make their dreams become a reality'. And NOT yours.
How often we hear our parents telling us to be an entrepreneur? A self made person who constructs his life from ground up. Who might work tirelessly while others party, to live a life that many just simply dream of.
Thing Logically
No profession beats entrepreneurship. Being a boss of your own, working tirelessly on your passion, and living the most lucrative life that you constructed as to how you wanted it to be.
That is life, that is freedom and that is what we need to bring our goals in coherence with.
Currently, the highest paid jobs are in medical industry where surgeons, general practice physicians, psychiatrist etc are taking home the heaviest pay checks. Though students with professional degrees
are able to bag to these lists with over 87% students finding them selves in debt once they leave the medical colleges.
In the third world countries, you can't even expect the best surgeons to achieve half these incomes as we generally experience.
It's just not the norm of this 'time-zone'; if you've watched the Hollywood movie 'In time' you could relate.
Entrepreneurship has no boundaries
Just like the adventurous mind of a kid, with no fears what so ever to achieve his/her goals, entrepreneurs a thirsty to experience their dreams become a reality.
With you reading this post, there is a hidden entrepreneur with in you that you need to explore if you haven't already. Find your passion and keep looking for it until you know it's that thing you can continue for the rest of your life.
It's not just about being a Blogger, blogging is just a minor section of the bigger agenda, it's about creating your own world and not being a slave of somebody's elses.
What Options Do You Have?
Its a world of opportunities for the hardworking fellows. If you're willing to put consistent effort in no matter what entrepreneurial journey you choose for your self, you'll eventually get the reward you actually deserve, which would never be possible if you get your self in line with the custom job life style.
If you're a software developer....
If you're a good software developer with the true passion it needs to excel, you can start small by creating your own products and apps. Sell them online on the major marketplaces. Keep building upon the initial effort and learn from other's mistakes.Save your time as much as you can by researching as much as you can along the way.
If you're an artist...
Artists are love. Keep producing the best content of your life and share inspirational stuff that reaches to the masses. Try to bring out some message in your art and the world would embrace it like anything.
Learn how to market your self. Apple Inc is the perfect example.
If you're a technical writer...
You're blessed. Choose a perfect niche that you're inspired to write about and collect knowledge for, and setup a blog. Reach the masses and live to inspire.
If you're an entertainer...
Everybody loves you already. Cash your talent online and become huge. YouTube is the perfect platform for you to shine. Try to create short videos of 2-3 minutes and entertain the world. It won't be long before you'll gain the attention.
Why I would urge you to have a career shift towards Online Entrepreneurship?
It's simple maths.
You would have spent a decade by now on the educational system that doesn't teaches to be skillful, But focuses more on the grade/marks race. What good would your degree do even if it has a sparkling 4GPA on it, without you becoming skillful along the way?
May be you might be able to tap a job that you believe was the best around? But how far can you go with that Job working for the rest of your life for them?
The answers to these questions are thought provoking and makes one realize how much more success they could achieve with few years of hard work in building your career online.
Entrepreneurship doesn't come in easy by any mean, though with the same amount of hard work involved (specially into something that you would be passionate about), would be million times more fruitful to you in long run.

Blogging is pure love. You get a chance to build your own empire, people follow what you write and in return, you can monetize the brand value and earn more than just a living.

And the best part is, such a valuable brand can be made under few years, and faster than how you can achieve that mark in offline world.
Your success in blogging is directly proportional to the thirst you have to be successful online. If you're one of those guys who would be like "Lets give it a try. Hope I succeed...", then there are a lot of chances that you'd fail!
Yes, fail! You might find your self giving up in less than 6 months.
To get to another side of the bridge, you would need to develop an attitude where you would say,
"I must and will succeed InshaAllah"..
